Why would I need a competent person and safety advisor?

A safety advisor is someone who will give you advice on Health & Safety anytime you need it. This is a valued resource for any company but also a legal requirement if you have 5 employees or more.

I am competent so I can do it myself cant I?

A competent person is deemed as a person who has a qualification in NEBOSH or above. Competent in Health & Safety is different to being competent in general.

I have 4 employees and use sub contractors do i need a competent person?

Legally you would require one after 5 employees. But if you are applying for an accreditation one of the criteria you would need to meet is a competent person for all staff not just employees.

Can I just pay you when I need you?

A competent person service needs to be on a retainer basis so we can provide you continued assistance not just when you have an issue.
