How can i check if someone is SSIP registered?
We get a number of calls a day asking questions with regards to SSIP registration.
In terms of being able to check if someone has a valid SSIP certificate you can check on the SSIP website. In order to find out the details and check it is the correct company you will need:
- Company full registered
- Registered address
This will enable you to put their name in and see if they appear on the register. They will give you the expiry date of the current certificate and the number of employees they have. This will only tell you if they have a certificate, if you are not happy with the work someone has done for you this would not fall under SSIP. You would need to go to trading standards if you cannot resolve the issue with the company.
